During the last week I have looked across the spectrum of my work over many years and do see changes... but for the most part it seems consistent. But I guess what I am pleased to note is that good structure and composition seem the most consistent quality. That pleases me!

I felt that a couple of posts addressing ways to achieve this important facet of painting through different strategies might support others in their journeys.

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
BruceBruce Shermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13111784187521969252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3013724465609653382.post-42794441298881589802013-11-10T18:39:52.722-05:002013-11-10T18:39:52.722-05:00Hi Bruce, I'm glad to hear that you are well-p...Hi Bruce, I'm glad to hear that you are well-prepared for winter. Glad also that you have managed to avoid the November blues. Your strategy of trying something new is definitely a good one, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your structural subjects. If they're all as good as this one, it should be a nice collection.

Happy painting,
KeithKeith Tilleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04114006831583939493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3013724465609653382.post-55155295476544069802013-11-08T05:08:44.024-05:002013-11-08T05:08:44.024-05:00Thank you for visiting and for leaving positive co...Thank you for visiting and for leaving positive comments Corn!

Warmest regards,
BruceBruce Shermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13111784187521969252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3013724465609653382.post-91133973087905384592013-11-08T02:29:18.526-05:002013-11-08T02:29:18.526-05:00nice painting!! what a beautiful autumn!

Two of those things...Family and the sense of a comfy home are paramount in my feeling blessed in my daily life!

We do share that sense of "morningness"... in our daily ritual. I think more creatively and positively in the wee first hours of the day! Add a cop o' java and the world is never better... except when I am painting ... en plein air!

Good painting and writing!
Warmest regards,
BruceBruce Shermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13111784187521969252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3013724465609653382.post-35911519816403339732013-11-05T05:27:15.924-05:002013-11-05T05:27:15.924-05:00Your painting is just beautiful Bruce, but then I ...Your painting is just beautiful Bruce, but then I always expect them to be so. I really enjoy each month of autumn and to some degree even the winter months. Being a homebody, the season is perfect for my sensibilities...the comforts of home, the sense of being blanketed with the darkness...an almost visceral sense of comfort for me. (And no, I'm a morning person.) I love the homey sense of you and Deb getting ready for this winter season. Autumn Leaveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04010044052621228719noreply@blogger.com
